Despite the fact that today many do not even consider the possibility of purchasing a crossover with only front-wheel drive, the French automaker decided to supply the base equipment without an all-wheel drive system. The price of the most affordable offer is 639,000 rubles. For all-wheel drive, you will have to pay more than 100,000 rubles. Both cars are equipped with 1.6 gasoline with 114 hp. 3. Privilege
This version of the crossover comes with 1.6-liter gasoline and manual transmission at a price of 896,000 rubles, 2-liter gasoline for 937,000 rubles, a diesel engine for 970,000 rubles. All of these versions come with manual transmission. The most powerful gasoline engine comes with an automatic transmission for 985,000 rubles. All versions are equipped with an all-wheel drive system. Already in this version, the crossover has fog lights, air conditioning, and cruise control.
In addition, an on-board computer is installed on the car. In order for the driver and passengers to come in winter, a remote start system is installed in the heated interior of the car. Tires come with R16 alloy wheels, the windshield has a heating function. The front seats have a heating function, finishing is carried out using an unusual fabric. The steering wheel has a leather trim, the rear seat has got three headrests. Outside, there are chrome lining on the body, the car has an outside temperature sensor.
At the end of August 2017, Dacia declassified the exterior photo of the second-generation Duster, and in September, at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the features of the new interior and some technical information became known. Under the display, there are keys of a new shape in a horizontal row, and a small screen with a display of the set temperature fits on the climate control knob. Parallel to the handles of the air conditioning system, only above, above the display, are three round air deflectors. To fit a new container on the center console, the off-road mode selector was moved to the parking brake handle on the tunnel.

For the European model (both 2WD and 4WD), TCe 125 and SCe 115 gasoline power units will be offered paired with a mechanical transmission. In addition, no one has canceled diesel engines: the dCi 110 engine is available for 2WD and 4WD, but only for 2WD - dCi 90. The sides of the new model began to look more harmonious. Strict small windows with massive pillars fit perfectly into the design concept of a convex relief, ending with an enlarged skirt and simply huge wheel arches. Silver-plated roof rails and huge round mirrors create brightness of the image, and the abundance of plastic at the bottom of the body and on the trailing edge of the front fenders hints that the car is able to show itself not only on the roads.
The stern of the car, judging by the photo, is designed to attract young people to the ranks of Duster buyers, it came out so bright. At the very top there is an almost imperceptible visor and a small glass with raised bottom corners. Immediately below it there is a square overall optics with white “crosses” of reverse signals, a small embossed door with a huge stamping for a license plate, as well as a high bumper, in the center of which there is an insert of the same shape and from the same material as in front, with a slot for the exhaust pipe, while the same protective black layer is visible along the edges, where several more optical signals are integrated. The updated Renault Duster 2020 will receive several power units running on different fuels. Diesel "one and a half" slightly forced, resulting in the output of 95 and 115 "horses". The average fuel consumption for a gasoline crossover is 8.1-8.3 liters per hundred kilometers traveled, in the all-wheel drive version, gasoline consumption is slightly higher.
The rear suspension of the new model also has brake drums, as before, unfortunately, the manufacturer did not try to modernize the running gear.
As standard, the machine is equipped with rims of the "sixteenth" diameter, a typical tire size is 215/65.
The front brake discs, like all modern passenger cars, are ventilated; in the most “charged” version, 17-inch wheel discs are installed.
About some shortcomings and useful innovations
Taking into account the wishes of users, the manufacturer of the new Duster corrected some shortcomings in the development of the model, left some points without attention, and introduced some innovations, creating only unnecessary inconvenience for car owners.
But first things first, a list of not the most successful design solutions that continue to "live":
Now about useful innovations that can only be considered from the positive side:
- the seatbacks on the new 2018 Renault Duster are adjustable in tilt with a lever, in the old version “twists” were installed;
- The "seat" of the driver's seat has become longer, for which tall drivers will undoubtedly thank the developers, the seat is also equipped with a more convenient lever for adjusting the height;
- the gas tank cap now opens without a key, you no longer need to carry it with you when paying for fuel with the cashier;
- on the inside of the tailgate there are two handles for closing;
- unprotected wide door sills were replaced with narrower ones, for this reason clothes no longer get dirty when passengers exit the car;
- a cold engine indicator appeared on the instrument panel (it goes out when the engine warms up), a water temperature sensor was added (previously there was only an indicator);
- comfortable niches and cup holders, both for the driver and rear passengers.

And not about the most successful innovations acquired by the new Renault Duster 2:
According to some feedback from drivers who have already tested the new model on the road, the suspension of the “old” Duster provides better comfort, the car rides more smoothly on the road.
The body of the Duster-2 has fairly good strength, it does not warp when the car is on slopes or in limbo, and the crossover overcomes difficult road sections very well.
