Advantages of the car

3. Excellent suspension and geometry: 155mm loaded ground clearance and 2630mm wheelbase. I comfortably pass speed bumps, pits and potholes. I drove along a broken country road with a rut, puddles 30 cm deep and gullies with four passengers - I drove easily. He asked the passengers to leave only a couple of times. On the way to the dacha - 2 km of country road - I fly like on asphalt. It's a pity to see the owners of Mazda 3, Ford Focus and other low million cars when they try to follow me over potholes, poor things. Once, the last generation TOYOTA Highlander lagged behind me along a broken country road (the road for trucks from 44 km of the ECAD to Ganina Yama) - it’s a pity for an expensive car. 7. Comfortable fit, especially in the rear seats - like on a sofa (compared to the Skoda Octavia and Volkswagen Golf 6 - you sit there like in a basin).

8. Comfortable rear doors. Back it is convenient to seat children and load, for example, a TV.

9. Good head light: near - the headlight angle is adjustable and the far one hits at 150-200 m. Enough for driving 90-110 km / h on a night highway.

10. Clear and convenient service. THAT after 15,000 km according to the regulations, I do it more often. 1, 2 and 3 MOT - 8,000 rubles. I change the cabin filter myself, it costs up to 450 rubles, I try to change it every 2 months. 11. The rear seats do not fold down. Dear developers!!! Make folding seats already, all classmates fold them. In a family car, sometimes it is necessary to carry a baby cot or an adult bicycle or something else completely oversized!!!

12. The angle of the rear seat backrest does not change. If a 5-year-old child falls asleep in a chair, the head falls forward. It is necessary that the back leans back and the baby would ride almost lying down.

I advise Logan to practical family people without an inferiority complex. Remember that the possibility of transforming the interior is limited in the car. I do not advise young guys - you will regret buying.

In front (in the direction of the car) there is a row of exhaust valves, and at the back - a row of intake valves. The intake valve plate is larger than the exhaust valve.

The valve is opened by a rocker arm, one end of which rests on the camshaft cam, and the other, through an adjusting screw, on the end of the valve stem. The valve closes under the action of a spring. Its lower end rests on a washer, and its upper end rests on a plate, which is held by two crackers. The folded crackers on the outside have the shape of a truncated cone, and on the inside they are equipped with persistent collars that enter the groove on the valve stem

The motor was assembled at the Romanian Automobile Dacia plant, it was there that the French organized the assembly. Until recently, it was from Romania that the motor was imported to the Moscow Avtoframos plant, where it was installed on Renault Logan and Sandero of the first generation.

Who would have known that a trip on it will give so many emotions! And not only me: there are countless astonished drivers of passing cars who saw how easily and naturally I started from a traffic light at the forefront of the stream - after all, Logans, as a rule, do not get involved in such battles. But my car is completely different. Under the hood is a 1.6-liter 16-valve engine with 102 hp. This is 15 "horses" more than the eight-valve of the same volume, which was the most powerful in the range. It seems to be a small increase, but it was enough for the character of the sedan to change dramatically.

Unlike the original motor, which does not “live” at above-average speeds, this unit loves to be turned. At low speeds, 1.6-liter engines behave similarly, but after 3000 rpm, the 16-valve engine has a noticeable pickup - the car wakes up as quickly as it accelerates rapidly. Run from standstill to 100 km / h, according to factory data, - 10.5 s. Against the background of the usual Logan, such dynamics are like a beat in the timpani after a thin ringing of a bell. Perhaps not many models in this price category can boast of greater agility. Of course, I won’t call a sports car, but the fact that a sedan is able to light a spark in the driver’s heart is absolutely certain.

It is gratifying that in terms of economy, the 102-horsepower modification outperforms the 87-horsepower one. For 100 km of city driving, it requires 9.4 liters of fuel versus 10 liters for an eight-valve. At the same time, the car, as before, is content with 92nd gasoline.

In traffic jams, the 16V version pleased with good traction on the bottoms - you can start moving almost at idle. And the clutch is set up as it should: it works exactly when you expect it to. Five-speed mechanics are still distinguished by clear switching and good selectivity. The process of changing gears is overshadowed only by a noticeable vibration on the lever. By the way, it is decorated with a pseudo-aluminum overlay. And for the “beautiful life” - a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a dapper white instrument panel backing, a Renault logo sticker on the door sills, and a Kevlar-like center console framed by an insert - an unexpected solution for a budget model.

Suspension of the flagship "Logan" - with anti-roll bar (ZR, 2009, No. 11). Of course, it works out bumps noisily, but there seems to be no limit to energy consumption. To bring the suspension to breakdown, you have to try hard. I could not get.

In the city, full-fledged exterior mirrors, installed instead of miniature "ears", help a lot. The sixteen-valve Logan is offered exclusively in the richest Prestige version - a driver's airbag, air conditioning, fog lights, heated front seats, electric exterior mirrors and windows. Such a generous set causes a high price - "Logan 16V" costs from 414,500 rubles. Expensive for a budget car. Perhaps the company should offer a 16-valve modification in a simpler configuration. Then more buyers will be able to enjoy the dynamics.
